Data collected
Free scan. The brand name entered and the scan statistics (number of variants tested and domains found). No sign-up is required and no personal data is requested at this stage.
Ordering a case file. Your email address, the identity and address of the trademark holder, the references of the trademark relied upon, and the target domain name. This information is necessary: it appears in the cease-and-desist notice produced.
Payment. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never pass through our servers. We only retain a transaction identifier.
We never ask for your email account credentials and never access your mailbox.
Purposes and legal bases
- Performance of the ordered service — legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
- Invoicing and accounting obligations — legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c).
- Usage measurement and abuse prevention on the free scan — legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).
Your data is never sold, never transferred, and never used for prospecting without your consent.
Retention period
- Case files and orders: 3 years, so that you can return to them if needed.
- Accounting records: 10 years, in accordance with the French Commercial Code.
- Scan statistics: 12 months, in aggregated form.
Sub-processors
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting (United States, standard contractual clauses).
- Supabase — order database (European Union).
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — payment processing (Ireland).
Technical sources consulted
The analysis queries public registries: RDAP and WHOIS records from registrars, DNS resolution via Cloudflare, certificate transparency logs (crt.sh) and the ip-api.com network information service. These requests concern domain names only, never your personal data.
Cookies
The website uses no advertising cookies and no audience-measurement trackers. Only cookies strictly necessary for payment processing, set by Stripe during the transaction, may be present.
Your rights
You have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and a right to object. Write to contact@legalbrandguard.com; we respond within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority — cnil.fr.
